Specialists at turning your house into a home

Complete home refurbishment, Epsom Downs

Having had an idea for transforming his home our client, Mike, got in touch after discovering us on the internet, we were called in to discuss their ideas and vision for their home.

A project of this scale can often be hard to visualise how it will all come together but with our explanations and colour tests we agreed on a plan to get the house looking how it should, as it was such a vast project he decided to contact Channel 4 to feature his home on the TV show ‘best laid plans’.

We worked alongside the electricians and lighting engineers to bring about the changes necessary to bring this house right up to date and with an elegant touch to really set off the details, luckily Mike is the director of Flairlighting so he designed the lighting setup himself to what truly was an impressive installation that carried a palpable ambience to the space.

One of the main issues our client faced was finding a company that would be able to complete it to his high standards and within the tight timescale he had laid out, luckily for him here at freshlook we often find ourselves having to compete with such situations so are very familiar with what is required to ensure expectations are met.

We put our exacting details at the forefront of the decoration, spending extra time during the preparation stages to ensure that the finish is suitable for properties such as this, where dust free sanding was implemented.

Keeping a project of this scale on track and finished on time and to the level of detail demanded by our client was no easy feat but when the last bit of cleaning up was finished another ecstatic customer gained.

Living room complete redecoration in Morden, Surrey

[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_color=”%23ffffff”]With the previous decoration being somewhat out-dated and worn it was time for this property to get the Fresh Look treatment, we were called in by the client to brighten her space up and make it feel more homely again.

The carpet was pulled up to expose an original wooden floor that was sanded back and varnished giving the room an instant warmth and retaining one original feature.[/text_block]

[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_color=”%23ffffff”]Cast iron fireplaces were all the rage back in the day, in recent years they have made a resurgence and can be quite sought after as another element in retaining an authenticity to a property, little details like this can make all the difference when renovating older properties.

Cosy Cottage in Cobham

Known for their modernist style with a hint of varied tones, our customer for this overhaul remained true to some traditional combinations but added their own unique touches to make it their own.

As you can see it has been carried out to a high standard throughout to remain in keeping with the rest of the home.

Lovely details around the windows and woodwork throughout which was a real delight to paint, especially when coupled with the view out into the garden and beyond, selecting currently on trend palettes allowed a feel of both old and new merged seamlessly to create a timeless design that is sure to last the tests of day to day living.

Hallway, Staircase and Landing.

We were contacted by the client to tackle a job that he didn’t fancy doing seeing as there would be a lot of preparation work involved, ladders over stairs and many hours of sanding & filling.

The original decoration consisted of cream walls, white gloss woodwork and mahogany stain varnish on the hand rails and spindles, which had begun to look outdated, showed signs of its age and was truly due for a freshen up.

Opting to keep it fairly neutral with pantry white walls, white satinwood on woodwork and brilliant white on the ceiling.                                                                                                              This colour scheme certainly brought the feel back up to date by the time we’d finished.[/text_block]
